Reviews for Three Oaks and a Pine RV Park

New Orleans, Louisiana

 Served its Purpose

Review by MamaW on 1/22/24, 6:41 PM

This campground served our purposes. First of all, let us say Kevin (on sight manager) was great! And Nick (in charge of reservations) was very responsive! We stayed two weeks. Originally we were only planning on a week. Good price for a week. Downside is that additional days are charged at daily rate, thus we decided to stay another full week instead of just a few days. It advertised cable and wi-if. We weren’t able to get either to work. We were at the back of the park so maybe that was the issue. We read reviews about noise, and we did hear the trains and racing cars. It didn’t really bother us, but if you are light sleepers, it may be an issue. We run a fan at night so I think that helped. If you just want a place to land after being gone touring New Orleans, it’s fine. Easy to get to the French Quarter.

My husband and I stayed here on May13th with our motorhome. We had full hookup and that is all we needed. It is not a campground, but a safe place to park so that you can go into New Orleans. The park is gated, and we felt safe. We do not use a super vehicle so we could Uber from here to Bourbon Street very easily.

The park is in the city and used by working contractors that are servicing the area of New Orleans. With that being said my stay was more than satisfactory. The neighborhood was some what undesirable but I felt safe. The camp grounds was gated and those residing there were hard working individuals who went to work of the day and slept at nights. I fitted in because I was looking for a quiet place to stay. Everyone stayed to themselves and caused no problems.

Thank you for your review. Yes, we were full of working contractors b/c Hurricane Ida hit August 29, the same day that Hurricane Katrina hit.

Run...This park is OK...the neighborhood is unsafe, very noisy ie..drag racing all night, gun fire, trains and traffic noise...go elsewhere!

Sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are an RV park in a city, so there is going to be noise. Almost all rv parks (except for one) are in this area and on this hwy. All the rv parks in New Orleans have near them: a train, an airport, a highway, a freeway, etc. Please remember that next time you book at an rv park in New Orleans. You may want to stay outside of the city to avoid city noise.

Hello Mr. Nick that has been staying in our park for many months. We see that you are still here and so we assume that the noise isnt that bad or you would have left already?? Please remember that all the rv parks in the city of New Orleans have either a train, an airport, a highway, a freeway, etc. near it. Also, please remember that New Orleans is always, every year, in the top 5 of most dangerous cities in New Orleans.

I gave the rating 1 star only because that is as low as I could go! This is the worst campground I have ever been to. The neighborhood was appalling and unsafe, all night you could hear cars racing up and down the street. I mean ALL night.. I would not recommend this campground to anyone! spend the extra money and stay somewhere safe.

 Hidden Gem

Review by The Traveling Locavores on 11/15/20, 6:48 PM

Three Oaks and a Pine is a little hidden gem of an RV park. We felt perfectly at home here for our 6 week stay in New Orleans. The location is so convenient to get anywhere. The sites are nice and level and we liked the added security of it being gated. The manager, Bill, is so nice and helpful. He was friendly and always available to answer any questions that we had. The price is right for an extended stay. We can't wait to return to Three Oaks on our next visit to New Orleans.

 The best

Honest, caring service from management and staff. Always great follow up on questions and emails. Happy to be able to repay them by coming back.

I don't know how they have 5 stars . The manager is a drunk and a thief . The owner owns a strip club / whorehouse a mile away and wants million dollar RVs in the park . It's in the middle of a known prostitution and drug area in which a couple of the trailers are owned by call girls . In the time we were there they had multiple shootouts along the hwy. This is not a family oriented place and should be forced to shut down for tourist safety.

 Three Oaks and a Pine

This was my first time camping in the NOLA area and was a bit nervous as to what to expect but feel very lucky to have chosen Three Oaks and a Pine RV park. I forgot to make reservations and was enroute on a Sunday when I called and Melanie handled everything smooth and easy. The park was very clean and neat to include the bathrooms. The entire staff was professional, courteous and helpful. Also felt safe in the park which is always a big plus I'll definitely be back for a longer stay.

Three Oaks and a Pine is far and away my favorite RV park in New Orleans, especially when it comes to affordability with excellent amenities. The park is clean and quiet with spacious lots and well-kept grounds. The staff is friendly, helpful, and focused on providing a superb customer experience. The TV lounge is so comfortable! I always appreciate having a chance to stretch out and spend a little time away from the RV -- it really feels like a home away from home! The showers and washer/dryer facilities are sparkling clean and very convenient. Thank you to Yoko, Meloney, Andrea, Mary, Bob, Darryl - and of course Ben!!!

Great spot to stay and visit New Orleans! Bathrooms and showers were spotless. The hostess was exceptional! We had paid for two nights and had to leave after one night due to illness. We were refunded one nights stay!!! I've done a lot of RVing and a refund like that is just about unheard of. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!
