This Manitou 230 equipped with Honda 250HP motor is as seaworthy as any fiberglass boat and can be used on the ocean if conditions are good. In mild sea states with waves of 2 feet or less, Manitou’s “V-Toon” design is more stable than most V-hulls. Their wide stance easily straddles small waves and chop, so the boat doesn’t rock nearly as much – but you want to avoid rough sea conditions, so stay in the marina and close to shore.

Navigation limits for boats under 30’: Inside the Marina requires operation and safety checkout, or vessel certification without captain outside the marina.
