Half Day Rainforest Hike

Overview

This moderate hiking adventure will include visits to a beautiful tropical garden as well as an abandoned colonial sugar mill. With a short drive along the Caribbean coast, we enter the protected rainforest sanctuary. Here guests follow a giant loop trail, for a period of one to two hours, using walking sticks as you go and having frequent stops for interpretation and viewing of wildlife, along the way.

In the cool shade of this pre-Columbian Rainforest Sanctuary one can catch a glimpse of Vervet Monkeys, Hummingbirds and much more – this is truly a photographers dream! Your senses will never be the same again!

At tours’ end celebrate with light refreshments at the site of an old colonial sugar mill, followed by a brief description of the production of crystallized sugar in St. Kitts during colonial times.
