San Francisco Bay Kayak Trip

Overview

This trip will offer spectacular views as we paddle through the world-class San Francisco waterfront.

This trip is led by a professional local guide and you can use a touring kayak. Open top kayak may be used if preferred. Usually we paddle by both the downtown San Francisco cityscape and Oracle Ball Park.

Paddle Length : You will explore on the water for 1.5 hours. Total event time is 2 hours including gear up, briefing, and instructions.

Our attentive guides will ensure that you are safe, comfortable, and explore the most scenic route.

You will see downtown San Francisco and Treasure Island. You might also see harbor seals, sea lions, migrating birds, and sailboats out on The Bay.

PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENT:
This is a leisurely paced kayak trip for active adults, but not suitable for someone who have not paddled for many years. When in doubt, join with another capable person to take a tandem kayak.

This trip is NOT suitable for people with motion sickness or had a recent surgery. San Francisco Kayak Trip- 1Hour would be an easier trip that is suitable for beginners and families with children.

We provide all the paddling gear. This trip uses performance seatouring kayaks. Beginners and youth should paddle on a double kayak for more speed. Advanced or strong paddlers may qualify for single kayaks.

Online booking closes early, sometimes days ahead. Walk-in prices are higher, even if seats are available. Most intermediate or advanced trips require a reservation ahead of time.

INCLUDE
Kayaking lesson, life jacket, paddle.

WHAT TO WEAR
Water resistant pants, wind jacket and shoes that can get wet.

WHAT TO BRING
Change of clothes and extra shoes in case you get wet from splash. Also consider: dressing in layers, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, contact lenses (better than prescription eye glasses), moisture wicking garment (rather than cotton), and bottled water.

CHECK-IN
You can bring the printed confirmation, a Transaction ID number or show us the receipt on your smart phone.

TIPS
You could get motion sickness if you are tired, hungry, hung over, or just sensitive to motion sickness. If you are sensitive to motion sickness, eat ginger before the trip or drink carbonated water.

CANCELLATION POLICY
7 Day Policy -20% daily deduction applies within 7 days. Change or cancellation could incur a surcharge or transaction fee depending on the severity or complexity. No refund is given within 24 hours.

GRATUITY
You are encouraged to tip the guides if you feel they go above and beyond their duty. 15% gratuity is recommended.
