About Camp Pollock
Group overnight camping shall be limited to organized educational groups and youth groups, who have an educational or interpretive interest in the parkway and its resources.* Rate: $8.00 per camper, per night. Minimum 11 campers, maximum 250 campers. Additional port-a-let charges may apply, depending upon the size of your youth group. Please ask about our SPECIAL rates for 501c3 non-profit organizations.
Additional Rules for Camping:
Automobiles in parking lot only. NO DRIVING ON THE LAWN.
Carry camping equipment to campsite.
Campfire Permits are required for open fires, such as campfires, barbecues and portable stoves. To acquire a fire permit from the Sacramento Fire Department call: (916) 808-8623. Campfires in pre-designated areas for groups only. Please read American River Parkway Campfire and Smoking ORDINANCE UPDATE.
Water available, but not at individual sites. Please provide the ability to transport water.
Showers available at this time.
Restrooms and/or Port-a-lets available, depending on group size
Picnic tables available. First come, first served.
Propane stoves okay.
No electricity access for campsites.
Limited parking; car pooling encouraged for large groups.
No RV Camping;. no camping in Parking Lot.
No alcohol permitted in campsites.
Pack It In, Pack It Out & Leave No Trace ethics practiced. REMOVE YOUR OWN GARBAGE FROM THE PROPERTY. $200 charge for all left trash.
Adults must be present to chaperone youth group camping.
Check-in at 3pm. Check-out at Noon.
Minimum 1 night stay, max 7 days camping.
Campers and lodge events must register and pay on-line. NO WALK-INS, except for day users.
Pets must be leashed at all times. You must supply your own resources to clean-up after your pet and practice Leave No Trace. Take all trash with you.
Launching your own canoes and kayaks allowed, but no improved facility--AT OWN RISK. All water users MUST wear life vests at all times.
Waterway use is at your own risk. Natural river access. No dock or launch ramp. Use of Personal Flotation Devices required. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. CAUTION: strong currents, cold water, submerged debris, and uneven bottom.
Anyone who violates any of the rules for camping will be directed to leave Camp Pollock. No refunds.
