Directions for Painted Desert Ranger Cabin

Directions

It is approximately a three mile hike to the cabin from the Devil's Playground trail head. It is about a seven mile hike to the cabin from the Painted Desert Inn. If you are staying overnight in the wilderness you will need to get a backcountry permit. Permits are free, and can be obtained at either of the park visitor centers, or the Painted Desert Inn.
