We arrived with a reservation for a 30 amp/water site for our RV, but there was no electric available at the site we reserved. The manager said there was only one other site not booked for the weekend - a site with no water and 50 amp hook-up (no use to us, we couldn't plug into a 50 amp). It was 80+ degrees and there was no way we could stay in a tin box without the use of the air conditioner. The owners must have know that the electric at this site did not work, as there was no fire ring and no picnic table, so I think the electric had not worked for a long time. As we were packing up to leave, we asked about a refund for the site and were told to call the number on the website. We made several calls to this number over a couple hours on Friday afternoon and it just rang and rang with no pick-up. Save yourself the hassle and stay at Wittleton, Koomer Ridge, Middle Fork or one of the other reputable State Park sites in the area. Use this private campground and it could spoil your weekend, just like it did ours as we were forced to come back home because all of the campgrounds were already full on such a perfect weekend.
