About Great Turtle Kayak Tours

Enjoy a tour around Mackinac Island harbour. Hugging the docks and joining the harbour traffic until you reach the marina. Glide next to the variety of docked gems as you view the Fort from the water. Test your paddling skills by maneuvering under and through the marina. Venture around sailboats and in between the breakwalls to catch a stunning peek at the lighthouses and passing freighters. Our guides will help you to become comfortable enough to journey just beyond the breakwall and outside the bay to experience the wide open waters of Mission Point and the surrounding islands.

We have several choices of Single Person Kayaks available, from Liquid Logic, Native Watercraft, Paluski, Perception and Hurricane. They are great for beginners and experienced paddlers alike, and will accommodate weight up to 450 lb.

We send a trained tour guide with all of our tours. They give beginner's dedicated attention and instruction on the shore as well as on the water. No matter your skill level, they can also show you the best sights, with the history to go along with it.

Every booking includes a life jacket, paddle, and a beautiful perspective of the waters of Mackinac Island.

Please meet on the beach 15 minutes prior to your reservation, so that we can get out on the water on time.

After adding single kayaks, you can also add tandem kayaks or stand-up paddleboards to your booking.
