Nice out of the way place. A Little road noise but less than most places. Lots of birds. Shaded area was comfortable. NO big rv for sure but the sites are nice for small rv. Some are really only fit for tents as stated. I would come back

 decent area

Spent a few weeks there in Jan 2017. Heading there next week to spend xmas and New Years 2018. Pretty clean area. Minor noise from nearby highway but not bad. Hammock is well shaded. Ask around where the wild grapefruit, orange, and lemon trees grow. The grapefruit is sweet but seedy. Only issue is the longish ride to Immokalee to access internet and a Winn-Dixie. There are a few Convenience stores somewhat closer if u don't mind paying for the convenience. The are some regulars, who camp there around this time of year and its nice to see familiar faces when doing the North-South circuit in the wintertime..

 Oasis of South Florida

It's free! Only well shaded campground in South Florida. Toilet paper is always loaded. I don't know about the other reviewer. There are some irresponsible campers who left trash bag in the restroom and don't haul out their trash. Road improvement would be wonderful though.

Terrible Work on Access Road; Poor Toilet Maintenance

Review by Love the Site But Bad Access Road on 1/15/17 11:25 AM

Lovely site with beautiful big old oak trees. One of the only free, quiet places to camp in this part of central south Florida. Unfortunately, the little work that got done on the access road in early January 2017 was really bad. Piles of gravel just got dumped without being graded. The result is terrible bumps and ruts, even worse than before. Also, the toilet is very poorly maintained - hardly ever cleaned or stocked with toilet paper. bring your own!
