love this campground
Review by Regular wind camper on 10/29/22, 5:14 PM
Winter camping at Boice Cope is a wonderful experience, not crowded the weather is a bit fickle but a foggy AM means a windy afternoon. And the new winter rates are awesome, $20 for hookups? Fabulous! I noticed the campground got a real cleanup, painting etc. Looks amazing. Nice to see the camp host, Meghan, is back on her own, the place is always spotless, and she interacts so well with the different types of people that come here. The summer host they had on was never around to help and when she was around she was a bit annoying and not helpful, if you had a question she would just send you to Meghan anyway. Regardless, we camp there at least once a month year round to get some lake time. My only complaint is the bench from the ladies room is gone. How are we to get out of our wet suits if we can't sit down, I don't think a picnic table is the proper place to do this and inside our RV is a big no go. The smell of wet neoprene never goes away. Please put the bench back.

Great Park close to the beach, quite, and relaxing. We stayed three nights mid October. Weather was overcast with sun breaks and a light to no breeze. We visited the Bandon boardwalk area and walked around Floras Lake to the beach. The camp host was extremely nice and welcoming. Services were clean and the dump station was very clean and convenient. Definitely a place to visit.

Five Stars

Looks like the review system shows all reviews as 4 stars even though you select the 5 stars rating when writing your review. Anyhow, we had another great stay at Boice Cope. It's a hidden gem, clean, and the perfect staging area for your favorite wind sport. Thanks to the camp hosts Meaghan and Leslie for being so helpful!
Future sites

My favorite southern Oregon campground ⦠I would like to see sites 23-29 turned into first come first serve & overflow sites for small rigs ⦠most campgrounds have a few sites set aside for this purpose â¦
Meaghan and Leslie are the best hosts
Review by Frequent camper on 10/1/22, 11:59 PM
I've been camping at Boice Cope Park for several years. Meaghan and Leslie are the best hosts by far. They are always available and very responsive. The bathrooms and showers are always clean and well maintained. The wifi access is much better now than previously and it's a pleasure to stay at this unique spot. The camp spots are well maintained as well.
Great County Park
Review by Nev on 9/29/22, 4:55 PM
I've camped at this campground three Septembers in a row and hope to go back. This is a clean and well run Curry County Campground on Floras Lake just a short walk from a lonely and wild stretch of beach; at least in September you can walk for miles and see a handful of people and the surf has always been impressive here. Some of the campsites are close to each other but overall I've really enjoyed staying here and the hosts have been friendly and helpful, the bathrooms and showers clean, and overall an enjoyable place to camp.Â
best out of 7
Review by monthly camper on 9/26/22, 1:49 PM
I camped at 7 diffident campgrounds, State and County, this year and Boice Cope has the cleanest bathrooms and showers. The camp host does an excellent job and fits in with the vibe of this campground. I come back as often as I can. P.S. your are also one of the most expensive at $32 per night!!
Oldie But Goodie
Review by Glover on 9/24/22, 8:09 AM
We particularly enjoy the openness of the sites, but yet not too crowded. And considering the difficulty in obtaining volunteer camp hosts, Meaghan is a jewel. The location is a winner! I do suggest that when help becomes available, Curry ups its maintenance game including re-opening the upper air vents in the showers.
Beautiful sunsets
Review by S n L Travelers on 9/21/22, 10:12 AM
Loved this campground and the camp host, Meagan, is great. Water and electric hook -ups and a dump station on site. Bathrooms are clean and there is also laundry available. The campground looks out over Floras Lake where you can watch wind surfers and enjoy beautiful sunsets. A short walk to the beach. A short drive to Bandon for a beautiful beach and charming old town.
Welcoming, clean, and well kept.
Review by Bev on 9/12/22, 10:22 PM
The host was hospitable and welcoming. The showers warm. The bathrooms clean, so were the campsites. It was windy, but just happened to be unusually windy when we were there.
Floras Lake is a gem!

What a great campground. Quiet, polite campers and the best hosts we've had in a campground. Will definitely return.

Clean, comfortable and quiet campground. But it is the camp hosts that make this an exceptional place to stay!

Nice, quiet campground with water and electric and laundry. Enjoyed hiking to the waterfall. Easy drive to Bandon for shopping and eating Clam Chowder at the fish market.

We have been camping at Floras Lake for 30+ years and it's the best ever, by far! Meagan and Leslie are simply outstanding and without a doubt the best hosts ever!! Looking forward to the next trip very much!!
A bit chancy
Review by Anonymous on 9/7/22, 9:49 AM
The hosts are wonderful, the campground is clean, and the location is great. Our only reservation is that the tent sites in the field are a risk - if you have noisy, inconsiderate, or cigarette smoking neighbors, it can be unpleasant. (Probably somewhat similar for the RV sites as they are also very close together.) Still on the whole a good experience and on the whole folks were upbeat and very friendly.
Gem of a campground
Review by Nancy on 9/3/22, 6:07 PM
Gratefully returning camp hose Meaghan, and new co-host Leslie, have restored Boice-Cope to its former glory. Clean bathrooms, showers and washing machines that work, dumpsters get emptied and most importantly, Meaghan and Leslie always have a smile when greeting campers. Both hosts coordinate crafting projects with the camper kids, using their own resources in providing materials. They go out of their way to ensure campers have a place to sleep if at all possible. Thank you Meagan and Leslie for another enjoyable stay at Boice-Cope Park campground.

I stay here a couple times each summer to kiteboard at the lake. Meaghan and Leslie are the best hosts! They keep the campground immaculate, including the restrooms. They are very friendly and accommodating. The campground itself is great but they make the experience so much better!!

What a beautiful little slice of heaven! We had a great time, even though we had to leave a bit early because our pup was ill-but our daughters and grand daughters stayed. Meaghan and Leslie are THE MOST gracious and welcoming hosts and really make you feel welcome! (Thank you for the squash, Leslie!â¤ï¸Â) we will definitely return!!

Camp hosts Meghan and Leslie were awesome. The whole place is super clean and the community is super welcoming. Attended a dance party at sunset and a camp fire guitar concert after. Wonderful experience!

Love this place- much to see! The hosts are great with providing info about their favorite places to visit nearby! I'm looking forward to going in the fall when it's not so busy. Thanks to Curry County for providing a really nice place to camp that's much friendlier, kinder, more interesting, and more personal than the state parks.

We have been going to this campground for years and years, but this year it was the BEST it has ever been. The camp hosts are so fun! And they do a great job keeping the restrooms clean and the grounds looking great. Totally recommend this campground. Only one tiny complaint - they let too many people stay there that are not in camp spots - just parked near the restroom and in front of the restroom, etc. Need to just SAY NO!! The bathrooms and showers just don't support that many people!

The camp hosts were fantastic. They provided great service on any questions asked. The facilities were well maintained. Floras lake is great for kite boarding and winging. Most of the campers were friendly and respectful of others. I plan to return again.

This is a gem of a campground. Very clean, lots of amenities not found in the state parks (like laundry facilities and charging station). Hosts are the nicest, friendliest people. Other campers very friendly, too. We are not water sports oriented, but this campground is perfectly situated for exploring along this stretch of coast. We'll try to stay again when we're in the area.

Beautiful and clean campground with awesome hosts and amenities. While sites are close together, was not too loud and didn't feel crowded.
My favorite camp on the coast!
Review by Sean on 7/3/22, 10:52 AM
There is nothing I donât love about camping here. Perfect location, great amenities and the nicest, most friendly camp hosts. I love the community vibe as well. I almost always see friends here and also make new friends every time. The common interest in wind/water sports gives it a different atmosphere than most other campgrounds.
A kayakers view
Review by Calvin on 7/1/22, 11:54 AM
Great campsite!!! Camp hosts were even better. Lots of friendly campers too. I went to Floras Lake to kayak. Had to wait a few days for the wind to die down, but finally caught a calm morning. Beautiful lake with lots of scenery. Nice short hike to the beach with a little longer hike to Black Lock point. A real treasure.
Great place to camp

The Boice Cope Park is a great place for anyone, but especially for anyone who enjoys the wind related water sports. As a kite surfer, I enjoyed the camaraderie from all the campers, the great support from the host and the great attitude of "Yes we Can". For anyone who is not into water sports, the beach is beautiful, however, be aware, when the north wind blows it can get cold. Overall my wife and I had a great experience at the Boice Cope Park.

Great park, Megan(the camp host) is awesome! Super friendly, and runs a tight ship. We got lots of wind for sailingð If you donât like wind then maybe find a different place to camp, thereâs mostly sailors there for recreation on Floras Lake. And bring plenty of warm clothes if your used to warm (hot) weather. I froze my butt off, and had to barrow a jacket. Pretty chill placeðð»

Review by Jay on 6/19/22, 9:24 AM
We stayed mid June primarily for kite and wing sailing. The weather was chilly but the welcome was warm. Meagan and Leslie are the nicest camp hosts ever. They are always available and happy to help. Always cheerful, too! The campground is small and comfortable. Pay showers are available. The bathrooms are clean. RV campsites are in good shape with water and electricity. The RV sites are in full sunlight, which was nice during our cold-weather stay. There's a dump station that we didn't use; puzzling that it costs extra to use it. the "lakeview" tent sites have lots of shade right on the lake. Great place. We'll be back.
